After confirming the debut of the Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 SUVs earlier this year the Chinese automaker Chery has announced that its mid-range SUV, the Tiggo 7 Pro, would be released in Malaysia as planned. This five-seater will join the Proton X70 and Honda CR-V in a two-pronged campaign on the C-segment.
Although the upcoming Tiggo 7 Pro is in the same market area, the new model is a completely different package. The current model, on the other hand, is a completely different beast, with a contemporary design, turbocharged engines, and plenty of features.
Exterior
On the exterior, the futuristic design is distinguished by a commanding front fascia that features narrow adaptive LED headlamps and a massive chrome-framed hexagonal grille. With its sleek LED adaptive headlamps, T-shaped daytime running lights and fog lights, and the enormous chrome-framed hexagonal grille its bold front appearance immediately captures your attention.
The spectacular appeal extends to the car's side profile, with elements such as massive wheel arches filled with wheels ranging from 17 to 19 inches, glazed D-pillars and window kink, faux vents with red T-shaped element, striking rear fender bulges, and a noticeable shoulder line crease.
Interior
The interior of the Tiggo 7 Pro appears to be comfortable, roomy, and well-equipped. The Tiggo 7 Pro initially had a sleek horizontal dashboard with trapezoidal air vents, a 10.25-inch freestanding touchscreen, a 12.3-inch instrument display, and Land Rover-style temperature controls with touch-sensitive buttons and dual rotary dials. Chery China released the Tiggo 7 Plus last year, which included a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, a Mercedes-Benz-style windshield display panel with a double 12.3-inch touchscreen, and full-width air vents.The issue is whether we will receive the original Pro or the Plus. The answer will come after the SUV is released in Malaysia.
Performance
There are two types of engine that will be offered for the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. A 1.5-litre engine produces a maximum power output of 150 PS at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 230 Nm between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm. A 1.6-liter direct-injected engine producing 197 PS and 290 Nm of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission transmits power to the wheels.

The Tiggo 7 Pro is one of the greatest value models in the Chery series. It is attractive, powerful, packed with convenience features, and secure. If you want a compact crossover with a turbocharged engine, plenty of room, and enough features to keep you happy on longer journeys in and out of town, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a good deal.
